From Band of Mercy:

This past Saturday Band of Mercy hit the streets with Vegan Outreach to Veganize the masses at the Anti-War march in LA.  We gave out over 900 Vegan booklets which was never easier when they came with free samples of vegan food to help re-enforce just how good being vegan can be! 

We hit the streets and got there as the crowds started to role in and got to meet and great activists from every social justice movement coming together for a single cause.  Open minds were everywhere as even parents and kids walked off with their vegan treats holding Vegan Outreach literature.  Community and conversations were flowing as a whole and we made sure as many people as possible if not all of them had information on veganism.  Towards the end the entire body of the march had received our hand outs and we had to move toward the edges to only get the new people entering the march's starting point. 

With 8 activists on hand, 900 hand outs were given in about an hours time. As the march started and left it was clear that we had a very large impact as many were still looking at, reading and holding onto their booklets.

We'd like to specially thank  Nikki from Vegan Outreach for helping with the literature as it would never have been possible without her and Vegan Outreach.   Also a special thanks to Raw Revolution and  Primal Spirit Foods for supplying great snacks to help convert meat eaters to a more compassionate life style of non violence and anti-war against the animals.  On a final note we thank all of Band of Mercy's comrades who came out and had fun with us.
